What will Model United Nations of The Hague be like?
MUNOTH caters specifically to university students and offers them the ability to gain further insight into the workings of international relations, which many of our delegates study as their degrees, but also environmental policy, governance and regulation, and journalism (as part of the MUNOTH Press Team). At this year’s conference, we will be discussing topics related to our theme: Challenges to Democracy: Institutional Reforms, Empowering Minorities and Defending Universal Human Rights . As The Hague is the official city of Peace and Justice, delegates are offered the unique opportunity to experience the city as would a diplomat or official member of the United Nations. Our annual Diplomat Soirée will also be taking place this spring, at which diplomats from The Hague and surrounding areas attend and interact with our delegates- giving delegates the chance to hear from those working in fields that they are potentially interested in pursuing themselves. Our conference will also consist of various social activities throughout the city, where we hope to get to know our delegates better and give them the chance to develop friendships and make memories with their committee members and other delegates.
